AIR SHOW WATCH PARTY FAQ

This year, Evergreen Aviation & Space Museum will be holding Air Show Watch Parties for all three days of the airshow. The museum will be offering reserved parking and access to our open areas in front the museum for guests watching pleasure. In addition, we are planning to have food trucks, and a Wine/Beer Garden available. Each parking pass includes 4 museum passes and discount opportunities to the Wings & Waves Water Park.

  • WHAT ARE YOUR OPERATING HOURS?
    Current Waterpark hours can be found on our Schedule and Hours page. The Waterpark and the Museum are closed Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.
  • DO YOU SELL GIFT CARDS TO THE PARK?
    Wings and Waves Waterpark does not offer gift cards. If you would like to gift a waterpark experience, make a reservation in the gift recipient’s name. You will need to choose a date and session for their reservation, but Wings and Waves is happy to modify that reservation for the recipient’s family to a time of their choosing.
  • CAN I BUY TICKETS AT THE GATE IF THERE ARE NO TICKETS AVAILABLE ONLINE?
    If you are unable to purchase tickets online before that session opens, it means that all available tickets for that session have already been sold and no tickets may be sold at the gate. Online tickets will not be available after the start of that session. If you are not sure if that day has been sold out, please call 503-687-3390 for more information.
  • WHAT IF WE PRE-PURCHASE TICKETS AND THEN SOMEONE IN MY GROUP GETS SICK OR HAS COVID?
    Wings and Waves Waterpark’s highest priority is the safety of all guests and staff. If someone in your group becomes ill and you are not able to come on your scheduled day, we are happy to move your reservation to another day of your choice. Transfer of extra amenities is dependent upon availability on the new date. If the session has not yet started and there are no tickets available, this means that the park is sold out for that session and walk-up tickets will not be sold. If you are trying to purchase tickets online after the session has begun, the online tickets have gone off-sale. Please call 503-687-3390 to check for availability.
  • DO YOU HAVE MILITARY DISCOUNTS?
    Yes! Make your reservation online to guarantee park entry. Present your Military ID at the time of check in and we will credit back the remainder of your discount. All ticket discounts are taken off the gate rate.
  • PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES DISCOUNT?
    Guests with disabilities must have ticket to enter. There is no charge for (1) accompanying caregiver. “Caregiver” is defined as one who provides care for another person who needs help with everyday tasks because of aging, illness, injury or disability.
  • DO I STILL HAVE TO PAY IF I DON'T GET IN THE WATER?
    There is no separate spectator area from park venue. All guests must have ticket to enter regardless of participation. If park reaches capacity through online ticket sales, no tickets will be sold at the gate. Purchase online to get the best price and guarantee entry to the park! Guests with disabilities must have ticket to enter. There is no charge for accompanying caregiver. “Caregiver” is defined as one who provides care for another person who needs help with everyday tasks because of aging, illness, injury or disability. Children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by a responsible person.
  • HOW DO WE FIND WINGS AND WAVES?
    Wings and Waves is located off Highway 18 east of McMinnville, across from the McMinnville airport. We are approximately one hour from downtown Portland, 40 minutes from Salem, and one hour from Lincoln City. Click here for driving directions.
  • WHAT FORMS OF PAYMENT DO YOU ACCEPT?
    Wings and Waves accept cash and all major credit cards at the park. Personal checks are not accepted.
  • DO YOU HAVE AN ATM ON SITE?
    Wings and Waves does not have an ATM on site.
  • WHAT IS THE WATER TEMPERATURE?
    Pools are set at 84 degrees and the spa is set at 102 degrees. The interior of the park is set to 85 degrees.
  • CAN WE BRING OUR OWN FOOD & DRINKS?
    Only water is allowed in the park. Food, beverages other than water, or coolers may not enter the park. We have a variety of food options available at Milky Way Café, located on the West mezzanine inside the park. You’re also welcome to pack a picnic to enjoy in Oak Grove located just north of the parking lot. Please leave a personal picnic/cooler in your car until you’re ready to eat. Personal alcoholic beverages are not permitted anywhere on campus grounds.
  • ARE TOWELS PROVIDED AT WINGS AND WAVES WATERPARK?
    Towels are not provided. Guests are encouraged to bring their own towels.
  • WHAT IS THE LIFE JACKET POLICY?
    You can bring in your own life jackets as long as they are U.S. Coast Guard approved. Wings and Waves has life jackets available at no charge. They are located at the wave pool entrance. Lifejackets are required in the wave pool for all guests under 48” tell.
  • WHAT TYPE OF TRAINING DO WINGS AND WAVES LIFEGUARDS RECEIVE?
    Wings and Waves Waterpark has partnered with Jeff Ellis & Associates, a consulting firm specializing in aquatics staff training. Lifeguards are subject to frequent Vigilance Awareness Training. Vigilance Awareness Training is conducted using “live active” guest simulations, manikin drops and silhouette drops. If you should see Vigilance Awareness Training in action, please do not interfere! If you have any questions, feel free to contact a park manager.
  • CAN I LEAVE THE PARK & GET BACK IN?
    There is unlimited re-entry to the park during your session. See an associate at the front desk prior to exiting. Guests may NOT leave and re-enter a different session.
  • WHAT CAN WE WEAR ON THE WATER SLIDES?
    Appropriate swimwear is required and subject to park approval. Denim, cut-offs, bikini thongs, or swimwear with exposed zippers, buckles, rivets or metal ornamentation are not permitted. For rider safety, you may carry sunglasses and water shoes down the slides. Wetsuits/neoprene swimsuits and swimsuits with built-in floatation devices are not allowed on body slides. Swim diapers are required for children who are diaper dependent. Swim diapers are available for purchase.
  • ARE CASTS & PROSTHETICS ALLOWED ON WATER SLIDES?
    Casts, braces and splints are not permitted on any water slide. Soft elastic/fabric supports that do not contain any rigid materials are permitted on water slides. Prosthetic devices are permitted on waterslides under the following conditions: The rider must be able to independently enter and exit the slide safely. For the safety of both employees and guests, staff may not assist with guests entering or exiting the slides unless for an emergency rescue. Riders must be able to independently maintain the correct riding position. The prosthetic must not pose a danger to the guest, others in the ride, the riding vehicle, or the riding surface. Riders wearing prosthetic devices must cover any exposed metal with a padded material and be firmly attached to the guest.
  • WHAT ARE THE HEIGHT REQUIREMENTS?
    Participation eligibility for Wings and Waves attractions is as follows: 48” – All attractions 42” – All slides EXCEPT Mach 1 and lifejacket required at Wave Pool 40” – All slides on Aqua Play, Splash Pad, Leisure Pool and lifejacket required at Wave Pool 36” – Green slide on Aqua Play, Splash Pad, Leisure Pool and Wave Pool with lifejacket and accompanying responsible person <36” – Splash Pad slides provided child can independently maintain the riding position, Aqua Play (no slides), Leisure Pool, and Wave Pool with lifejacket and accompanying responsible person.
  • WHAT ARE THE WEIGHT RESTRICTIONS?
    The maximum weight for any single rider on any slide is 300 pounds. The maximum weight for double riders is 400 pounds combined.
  • HOW MUCH ARE LOCKERS?
    Locker prices are: $5 for a small locker, $6 for a medium locker and $7 for a large locker.
  • CAN WE WEAR WATER SHOES OR SANDALS?
    You can wear water shoes or sandals to walk around the park. For your safety, you will be asked to hold them in your hands when you go down the slides.
  • IS THERE A TUBE RENTAL FEE?
    Free tubes for all guests to share are available at the slide exit. The free tubes are for slides only and may not enter the wave pool. Free tubes may not be kept at guest chairs or cabanas for later use. Guests holding tubes “because I will use it later” will be asked to return the tube to the slide exit or to pass that tube to other guests who are ready to ride right now. Rental tubes are available for guests who would like to have one for their personal use. Single rider tube: $5.00 Double rider tube: $8.00
  • IS THERE A PARKING FEE?
    All parking is free of charge.
  • CAN I BRING MY DOG?
    Service animals are welcome in the park but may not enter any body of water. Staff members may ask the following: Is this required for a disability? What service is the Service Animal trained to perform? Guests with Service Animals are responsible for ensuring adequate potty breaks and proper waste disposal. Comfort or support animals do not qualify as Service Animals.
  • I DON'T WANT TO SWIM. DO I STILL NEED A TICKET?
    Reservations and tickets are required for all guests entering the park regardless of participation.
  • IS THERE A LOST & FOUND?
    Yes! Wings and Waves Waterpark will hold unclaimed items for six days. If you believe you may have lost an item, please email us at info@wingsandwaveswaterpark.com. Please include detailed description of the item, date and session it may have been lost, and the best phone number for us to reach you in the event we are able to locate your item.
  • IS THE WATERPARK WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBLE?
    Wings and Waves Waterpark meets all ADA guidelines. The wave pool area is zero depth entrance and wheelchair accessible. The leisure pool is accessible via a mechanical hoist. The spa is accessible via a transfer platform. Waterslide access requires guests to utilize stairs. Waterpark wheelchairs are for emergency use only. An elevator is located in the Waterpark for access to the Café and second floor. All bathrooms and locker rooms are wheelchair accessible. Please note the Waterpark is wet and may be slippery.   • WHAT DOES IT MEAN IF TICKETS FOR A PARTICULAR SESSION AREN'T AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE ONLINE?
    Tickets will not be available for purchase at the gate.
  • CAN I BUY A CABANA WITHOUT PURCHASING A TICKET?
    Cabanas may only be rented by ticketed guests. Guests who purchase tickets online will be offered the opportunity to add a cabana if there are any available. If cabanas are not offered at the time of your online ticket purchase, there are only a few cabanas remaining for rent on a first-come, first-serve basis at the time of entry. Please ask the Park Associate when you check in for availability.
  • CAN I USE MY FIRST-CLASS CABANA FOOD CREDIT TO BUY ALCOHOL?
    No. First-Class Cabana food credit may be used for food or any drink OTHER THAN alcohol.
  • DO I GET CASH BACK IF I DON’T USE ALL OF THE FIRST-CLASS CABANA FOOD CREDIT?
    No. There is no cash back.
  • I AM A SEASON PASS HOLDER. DO I NEED A RESERVATION?
    Season pass holders do not need to make a reservation to enter the park.
  • ARE CASHLESS PAYMENTS AVAILABLE?
    We are encouraging all guests to make ticket purchases online and to use electronic payment to complete in-park purchases. We can accept card and Apple Pay.
  • ARE THERE FREE TUBES AVAILABLE FOR THE SLIDES?
    Yes! Single solid color tubes are available for use at no charge. If all tubes are in use, guests wishing to ride the slides will line up in the queuing areas marked at the slide unloads and tubes will be passed to the next guest waiting. These tubes are to remain in circulation and are exclusive to the slides. Guests may not take tubes from the slides to use elsewhere in the park. Guests who are not making immediate use of slide tubes will be asked to return those to the slide queue. Single and double tubes are available to rent for guests who do not wish to share a tube or would like to ride double.
